Is it 5 P[osh]M yet?

Went to Matthew's recently for their happy hour after receiving an enticing email about their offerings. Three delectable French Fry innovations for the amazing price of just $4 and I was sold. The $6 dirty martini didn't hurt either.

My two girlfriend's and I tucked ourselves into the back of the lounge on the dusty mint green velvet sofas and the soft cream leather chairs situated on either side of a curved glass table, topped with a single red poppy.

The light poured in through the large windows and danced off the bouquet of large white feathers, white bar, and white walls. It was a little senza persona, which made our voices echo through the small front room of the elite eatery, but I let myself believe it gave the somewhat stark atmosphere character.

[Front to back: Salt + Vinegar, Blue Cheese, Truffle + Parmesan]

The bartender was pleasant enough to talk the chef into giving us a trio di fritta so we could try all three of the delicious fries. Collectively, we decided the Truffle Fries with Parmesan Cheese won the fry of the night competition, but they were all pretty amazing.

And the martinis were dirty and delicious. And blue cheese stuffed.

Definitely worth an [affordable] try.
