This winter has been intense. It has shoved us Floridians into our dwellings, lock and key, heater blasted, huddled together or huddled alone to try and keep warm. We can't handle cold weather, especially not for months on end.

Except for Justin and I. We powered on. Along with a few other freaks of nature who bundled up in heavy coats and scarves and rosy, cold whipped cheeks as we stuffed ourselves into the galleries, looking for art and an escape from the cold.

It is very rare these days that Justin and I end up on some kind of social outing sans friends or family. We wondered through the dimly lit streets [not many of them], navigated maze like hallways and staircases, stared at the local art and embraced the energized atmosphere of MOCA [Marylin exhibit and some insane cassette tape monster] hand in hand. In love and in love with the chance to be alone, together.

[Hello beauty.]
Thank you harsh winter, for scaring everyone else away and reminding us what it's like to once again explore the place we live, the place we love. Adventurers once again.

digital temp in my car read 80 about 45 minutes ago ... ok, I may have been parked in a sunny spot but IT'S PROGRESS! After your horrifically longer than long day today I hope you get to channel a dog (or cat or lizard) and soak up the sun tomorrow - with 80+ SPF that is ...
